Our electrical safety checks are meticulously conducted in accordance with the stringent guidelines set out in section 4 of AS/NZS 3019 “Electrical installations—Periodic verification”. What You Need to Know as a Rental Provider
Mandatory Biennial Checks: As a rental provider, it is mandatory to have an electrical safety check conducted by a licensed or registered electrician every two years.
Initial Safety Checks: If a property is occupied and an electrical safety check hasn’t been done in the past two years, it is the rental provider’s responsibility to arrange for a check immediately.
Transparency with Renters: Upon request, renters must be provided with the date of the most recent electrical safety check in writing.
